My husband and I renovated this house with the intention of it being our dream home. But the kids left for college sooner than expected and my husband prefers living in our other home. So this is our second house. Thus we can be very flexible with your schedule.

My husband’s background is in engineering, but is retired now and spends time dabbling in finainaces. He’s originally from Wisconsin, A serious Badger fan. He also loves fishing. He grew up on a lake.

I am the owner of a small business. It’s about 10 minutes from the home that’s listed. I specialize in importing niche beauty products. Besides business one of my favorite activities is snowboarding. I'm also trying to learn Spanish.

The kids are 18 and 20. Although it would be nice for them to tag along on a vacation they are at the age that they would rather be with their friends.

We’ve traveled to Asia bi-yearly for business and vacations. Thailand is one of our favorite destinations. We’ve also visited Europe and am looking forward to spending more time there. At home, we go to ball games, operas, drive down the coast, ski in the winter, etc. There’s an endless amount of things to do here and we’re never bored.

This is a second home, so a non-simultanous exchange is okay. We are both mature professionals and are well traveled.
We have adventurous spirits and are opened to anywhere interesting.

One block from the house you can stroll along the beach with beautiful views and watch the kite and wind surfers.
Alameda has a wonderful small-town feel, walkable neighborhoods, friendly people, a swimming beach, great architecture, nice shops, restaurants, golf course and easy access to all the Bay Area has to offer.
The cultural events of Berkeley and San Francisco are easily accessible with convenient public transportation by both BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and Ferry.
