With only 200 permanent residents and 5 miles of beach, you'll feel as though it's your own private island. 4 br, 3.5 bath, charming shingled cottage. Steps to the beach. Rental includes a golf cart which is the main mode of transportation on our island. Golf, hiking, beachcombing and art galleries are just a few of the special activities while visiting Daufuskie. Unique restaurants serving authentic low country seafood, funky waterside bar with local bands or spend the night at home and take advantage of our fully equipped kitchen and deck with a gas grill.
METROPOLITAN AREA: Hilton Head 5 miles long and 3 miles wide. Home to only 200 residents. Daufuskie is a 30 minute boat ride from Hilton Head or Savannah. The subject of Pat Conroy's book, The Water is Wide, typifies the low country of a yesteryear. Shrimping, crabbing , and fishing are all just minutes away, as well as deserted beaches littered with sea shells. Go horseback riding on the beach, play golf or just relax.
