DESCRIPTION: Lovely floor 700 sq ft house surrounded by nature in a Condominium Complex in Colonia Allende. The apt is on the ground floor with a nice private patio. The appliances are brand new with a washer/dryer, desktop computer, wi-fi, Cable TV(CNN & BBC), vonage phone,local phone and DVD player. There are two gas fireplaces. The house is very comfortable with many books and CDs. It is in a very safe, complex with an on site manager who is extremely helpful. There is a reserved parking place.Housekeeping service is available. The house is a 20 minute walk or 10 min. bus ride to the Centro. Taxis are inexpensive and plentiful. We bought this place in October, 2008 after visiting San Miguel for many years, and had it completely renovated. We live in NYC, and plan to go there three or four times a year. METROPOLITAN AREA: San Miguel is a very charming colonial town with cobbled streets and very old buildings surrounded by mountains. It has attracted artists and those seeking a bohemian type life since the fifties. About ten per cent of the population are American or European ex-pats livng there part of full time.Since there are many tourists English is spoken in many restaurants and tourist attractions. There is a celebration of some sort almost weekly. It is quite a nice place to visit. RENTAL AVAILABILITY: Year round RENTAL RATES: $400.00 a week from October to April, and $900 a month--$375.00 a week from May thru Sept, and $800.00 a month
