DESCRIPTION: We are located 15 minutes from the historic downtown plaza in a beautiful rural setting with views of the mountains. Four covered portals for outdoor living. We have a 2900 square foot home that includes two studios and a library. There are two bedrooms available for your use (two more converted to office and sewing room). Tile and carpet floors. Slate counter tops in kitchen. All appliances. Radiant heating (in floors).The house is filled with art, Japanese and contemporary ceramics, textiles, Spanish Colonial santos, and other art objects. Beth is a textile designer and Richard does sculptural ceramics. The house is not children friendly; too many objects to break. No smoking please.
We are retired and are flexible as to the time of an exchange. Car sharing possible. We are experienced exchangers and can offer references. METROPOLITAN AREA: Albuquerque, New Mexico. Santa Fe is a city of 60,000+ people with over 250 art galleries, four museums, and some of the best restaurants in the country. Hiking and skiing are minutes away, and the 8 Indian Pueblos are within 80 miles. Taos is only about an hour from our house. There is a commercial airport in Albuquerque (70 miles) that serves all major airlines. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: We prefer larger cities with art museums and good restaurants but are open to other interesting locations. Would consider Hawaii, New York, Chicago, London, Scotland.
