DESCRIPTION: 5 bedroom, 3.2 bath. Large kitchen recently updated with Miele/Wolf everything. Bedrooms are on the cozier side (it's a Victorian, after all) but the master bath has a tub for two and a steam shower. Dining table large enough to host 14. Large backyard with all kinds of vegetables that constantly harvest through the summer. 2nd floor porch is perfect for afternoon siestas. For those who appreciate older (by American standards) homes, the original woodwork, pocket doors and mirrors will please greatly. Infrared sauna is nice too. 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a single) and 2 full bathrooms. 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms (1 double bed, the other can have an air mattress) and a full bathroom. We are in our mid-40's, two girls (aged 10 and 8) who we still ride around town in a Dutch box-bike. We run along the lakefront in the mornings all year round (sunrises can often be amazing) and spend most hot summer evenings dining on the beach. METROPOLITAN AREA: Chicago Evanston is the first town just north of Chicago on Lake Michigan. It's very politically progressive with a world class university (Northwestern) and a community that is committed to the quality of life of its residents - very bike friendly, lots of solid dining and cafe options within easy walking distance and a very relaxed feel.
