The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Central Park reservoir is a half a block away, and the Met is straight across the park.  The apartment is served by the B & C subway lines at 86th and Central Park West (“CPW”), and the 1, 2, & 3 trains at Broadway and 86th Street.  Lincoln Center and untold cinemas are right down Columbus Avenue, as is the Natural History Museum (a must see in NYC). 
Taxis are abundant, and I can easily provide you with a local car service where the service and prices put other capital cities to shame.  Your car arrives within 5 minutes of your call, and unlike France, amongst other places, you pay nothing until you get into the car, though it’s necessary to ask the price when you make your reservation.
