We have a large garden with many flowers and vegetables, which you are welcome to enjoy. A gardener will maintain things when you're here. We have many old trees providing shade and sparkly sun.

We are a couple with grown children who like to travel. We prefer to exchange homes in areas that are close to transportation so we are not dependent on a car. We like rural areas, like to be near rivers, enjoy lively city night life, and inspiring views - not all in the same place, of course.

METROPOLITAN AREA: Wine Country - one hour from San Francisco

The town of Sonoma, located in eastern Sonoma County, is surrounded by vineyards and appellations. The town is small and one is able to go everywhere on foot or by bikes, available for rent next door. Restaurants with spectatular cuisines are within walking distance. We are 15 miles from Napa wine country,and are 65 miles from San Francisco. There are hiking trails around town and the Jack London State Park with hundreds of miles of trails is 15 minutes away by car. There are small galleries in Sonoma. This is paradise, Man.

PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: France, Argentina, VietNam. Also weekend trades anytime to Seattle, Lake Tahoe, Pt. Reyes Seashore, or a Sausalito houseboat.

PERIOD OF AVAILABILITY: September-October 2013. Or any time for short trips.
