The sitting room has a french door opening on to a loggia with extensive westerly views.
The utility room has stable doors to the front and rear gardens.
The rear garden is secluded yet because of the elevated position affords magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. There is a delightful area to sit out and enjoy the view. Steps descend to a lower area of lawn, with barbecue.
We have 2 cars which would be at your disposal. An Audi A4 cabriolet and a VW Golf.
Simon and I are semi-retired.
We have 3 children along with their families with whom we spend a great deal of time and who live in Edinburgh, Bristol and London.
Simon and I run our own business focussing mainly on personal development.
We love skiing and go on at least 2 skiing holidays a year. We are very active and enjoy walking, travel & gardening.
We have 2 dogs - a yellow labrador called Tas and a jackrussell/poodle cross who we inherited called Indi - a real character!
We are happy to exchange properties at different times (i.e. not simultaneously) as we have a campervan and would be happy to vacate our house during your stay as we realise that most people would probably want a holiday in England in the summer months!
METROPOLITAN AREA:
Taunton is a very attractive county town set in varied and beautiful countryside. It is surrounded by numerous National Trust country houses and gardens. Dartmoor and Exmoor are only a 45 minute drive to the west. The cathedral/university cities of Exeter and Bristol are less than an hour's drive.
Stonehenge and Salisbury are only an hour's drive away, and London is only 2.5 hour's drive.
Taunton is served by an excellent railway and motorway network.
It is close to the beautiful south west coastal areas of England, with excellent surfing on the North Devon coast.
South Wales is just over an hour's drive with its beautiful coastline.
