DESCRIPTION: 2br 2bath 1,336 sf 1st floor, veranda on formal garden, designer furniture, piano, luxury baths, granite kitchen, all appliances, w/d gas fireplace, walk to everything, internet, phone, TV, cable, free public transport, late model Toyota Corolla, secure basement garage parking, bicycles, and two segways. We chose our condo for its beauty and the quiet neighborhood. Its a calm oasis in the best part of an absolutely gorgeous southern city. Just two blocks from the 1-16 exit ramp we are easy to find. We are retired USMC couple studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design. My major is Dramatic Writing and my minor is the use of horses for therapy and rehabilitation. My husband studies Fine Arts with an emphasis on jewelry making and metal working. I grew up in Japan with missionary parents, my husband was born in Germany to US citizens and has been traveling the world for the US military for most of his life. Before Savannah we spent 7 years in Guam and Japan. My husband is a disabled American Vet who fought in Desert Storm. Because of his disability he needs temperatures that are at least 70 degrees. Savannah gets down to the 60s during the day and the 40s at night in the winter. METROPOLITAN AREA: Historic District Savannah Savannah's historic district is beautiful, exciting and hosts 6.8 million tourists every year. We live on Jones Street, called the most beautiful street in Savannah. We are walking distance to everything. Savannah is full of artists and holds public parties in the squares every weekend. Movies, art shows, concerts, tree climbing competitions, dog picnics, this town loves to party. Tybee Island, the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, Bonneventure, Wilmington river and the salt marshes, and many other destinations are within a 20 mile radius. Savannah's winters are mild - we have citrus, banana and palm trees! PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: We want to spend Dec, Jan, Feb and half of March in Hawaii every year. Oahu is preferred but anywhere in Hawaii is fine. PERIOD OF AVAILABILITY: Late November to Mid March.
