Stroll streets with classic homes worth millions, all beautifully landscaped. Parks and playground nearby. Theaters include On the Boards, plus 2 theaters and ballet (PNB) and opera at the Seattle Center. Walk anywhere. Downtown stores about a mile and a half, or just jump on the #1 bus at the corner. Get to University of Washington on the bus, or walk over the hill to Pacific Lutheran University. Idea location to explore Seattle or have easy access to the ferries and the Olympic Peninsula.
Married couple, interested in home exchanges; need not be simultaneous. We speak French, some Spanish, like to travel. We have friends who have used this website, with marvelous results. METROPOLITAN AREA: Seattle Seattle is the jewel of the Northwest, located on Puget Sound, between the Olympic and the Cascade Mountains. Visitors can easily get to the Peninsula, and from there to the wild beaches of the Pacific coast, or take a ferry to Victoria in British Columbia. Canoe or kayak on Lake Washington or Lake Union, hike in the Cascades (or ski, about a 45 minute drive) during winter. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Europe, especially France and Spain, including Paris, Aix; Great Britain; locations in the US including San Diego, Baltimore, Portland OR, Ashland OR, and other cities such as Dakar, Senegal.
