Andreea Melissa Porcelli and Mark Porcelli are a married couple, with two delightful little children, of 6 and 7 years of age. They have worked in the financial industry for a combined 40 years. METROPOLITAN AREA: Torino Monferrato is an area consisting of a series of hills in the southeast corner of Piedmont in northwest Italy. From north to south it encompasses the band of hills nestled below the River Po. It has a strong literary tradition, including the 18th century Asti-born poet and dramatist Vittorio Alfieri and the Alessandrian Umberto Eco and it is a land filled with history, emerging in incredible folk festivals like the Sagre (local cuisine) and the Palio Astigiano. It is also one of the most important wine districts of Italy. Here the terroir is ideal for growing grapes, with its continental climate and free-draining, tuffaceous soils rich in nutirents. This wonderful location is also within short distance of the Liguria seaside, Torino and Milan. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Australian coast, Hawaii, Paris, Provence, Costa Rica.
