Wireless internet connection is available throughout the apartment.

Our cleaner comes twice a week, and whilst Mrs Tang speaks no English, will be happy to wash and iron for you, as well as clean the apartment.

We have contact details for drivers who can take you to the Great Wall, about an hour and a half from Star City.

The apartment has a community pool covered with glass .

The kitchen has a gas top cooker and an electric oven. A washing machine is available.

You will find a range of books and DVD's for times you want to curl up on the couch at home! Satellite TV is available.

We have lived in Beijing for 5 years and love the city. Our home is New Zealand, but we have also lived and worked in South Africa and the UK.

Nigel trains Project Managers across SEAsia, and Cathy is a teacher at an international school. We have travelled to many parts of China, and SEAsia and have a pile of books for you to browse if you want to explore travel outside Beijing/ China.

When we travel, food, wine, art and photography are our main interests. We like to base ourselves in a place and explore the local area.

METROPOLITAN AREA:

"Star City" is a 20 minute taxi ride (about 8USD with toll fee) from the airport, a five minute walk from the famous 798 Art District and a 10 minute walk from the supermarket, cafes and a range of restaurants.

The centre of the city is 30 minutes away by taxi (about 6USD) and we are about 10 mins from the closest subway station.

The area is safe and a mixture of Westerners and Chinese live in the building and local area. The hospital used by foreigners in the city is a 10 minute walk away - English is spoken here.
