Our kitchen is recently remodeled in craftsman style, but a variety of restaurants (Thai, Greek, Chinese, pizza, hamburger, seafood) are within walking distance. More top quality restaurants available downtown, a 10-minute drive or light rail ride away. Our home is located on a quiet, tree-lined street near the University of Utah.
Other house features: one full bathroom, two ¾ bathrooms, fireplace, large dining room as well as breakfast counter in the kitchen, 6-foot grand piano, cable TV and VCR, stereo, computers with Internet, washer and dryer.
Important! A cat lives in our house. You would be responsible for letting him in and out and making sure his food and water dishes are full.

My husband and I are retired professors (Russian language and literature and English, respectively) interested in travel. We’d love to spend a week or so enjoying the food, theater, and museums of New York City, but are open to sunnier climes and beaches as well. We’d love to try snorkeling.

METROPOLITAN AREA:

Salt Lake City is surrounded by 8 world class ski resorts: Snow Basin, Park City, Deer Valley, the Canyons, Brighton, Solitude, Alta and Snowbird, plus a couple more locally oriented family resorts. All are within one hour's drive from our home. After a day's skiing, you can return to the city for its many excellent restaurants and cultural activities. Salt Lake City hosts a symphony, opera and ballet company, and the University sponsors many visiting performances. We also have an excellent zoo open 365 days/year and a top-notch planetarium.
The Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah, within easy walking distance, is a great destination for kids on a day off from skiing.
