DESCRIPTION:
My husband, our son, myself and a few good friends built our dream house ten years ago in the scenic Bristol Hills. It has three bedrooms, two of which have queen sized beds and the third a twin sized bed. The master suite has a bathroom with a Jaccuzzi tub/shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a full sized tub/shower.
The great room is large with comfortable chairs and couches, and a wood burning fireplace. A great place to hang out. We do have central heating also.
Our kitchen is large too, and well equipped, including a microwave oven and a dish washer. We have a laundry on the first floor with separate washer and dryer.
The porch runs the whole length of the front of the house and around the side to the deck at the back.
We are very proud of our gardens, both flowers and vegetables. Most of the plantings start as seeds in our greenhouse and this may need some watering depending on the time of year. Also depending on the season there may be fresh veggies to enjoy.

We have 1.78 acres of gardens, lawns and some woods, but are surrounded by farmland and vinyards, so every window has its own lovely view.

We are a retired couple.
Our family at home now consists of one charming black 4 yr old lab named Lucy and one pretty little cat named Lilly.

METROPOLITAN AREA: Canandaigua/Rochester

We are 2 min from Bristol Springs which has a v. good bistro, a garden center and winery outlet.
It is 5 min to Naples, a pretty village which satifies most of our needs; grocery and drug stores; nice retaurants; gas stations and churches. Also a summer stock theatre where a show is worth catching.
We are 30 mins from Canandaigua, a small city with more commercial shopping and movie theatres etc. Also has a nice beach at the north end of Canandaigua Lake.
An hour will get you to Rochester, a large city with more cultural attractions including the new and famous Strong Museum of Play, a must see for children and adults too.
If you like skiing we are about 10 minutes from Bristol Mountain Ski Resort. They have snow making ability, many exelent slopes and also night skiing. New Cross country areas have been added this year.
Cumming Nature Center - behind our hill - has trails and guided tours. It is linked to the Rochester Museum of Science.
Ontario County Park at the north end of our road (3min) has great trails, short or really long, it is a spur of the Finger Lakes Trail system. Also good for Cross Country skiing in winter.
