DESCRIPTION:
A perfect place to get away from it all. Quiet, secluded, with a view that goes on forever yet only 40 miles from Denver. Our log cabin is new, vaulted ceiling over a living/kitchen great room, two bedrooms with queen beds, a bath with shower and
a loft- great for groups and kids. Sit on the large covered porch
or walk through the woods to "Listening Point" overlook and watch the sun go down.

Our cabin is small and cozy, hardwood floors, oriental rugs, central heat, western style furnishing, campfire pit outside.
It is secluded and quiet. We have no TV- just the birds, trees, and sky.

My wife and I are professionals in the design field. Our children are grown. We live in Denver and our cabin on the Isle Royal Lode is where we get away. We are interested in cross cultural experiences and travel.

METROPOLITAN AREA: Denver, Colorado.

We are located in the historic mining district of the Gold Rush days. We are off a gravel road just up the famous "Oh My God Road" from the rustic mountain town of Idaho Springs. Our nearest neighboring town is the ghost town of Russel Gulch. Historic Central City is 6 miles away with its casinos and storied Central City Opera, and the "Face on the bar room floor" in the 1870's Teller House hotel.

Things to do nearby include hiking, mountain biking (we have two) horseback riding, whitewater rafting, gold mine tours, 4-wheeling, railroad excursions and visiting historic towns for shopping and dining.
Denver with all its cultural attractions, dining, and shopping is
hour away. Vail and other ski towns are an hour away to the
west. Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak two hours south. And Rocky Mountain National Park is two hours north.

PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Italy! We would prefer Tuscany or Umbria but are really open to most anywhere. We are also quite open to other parts of the world if it sounds interesting.

PERIOD OF AVAILABILITY: Spring, Summer, Fall- possibly winter
