The large landscaped block is easy care with rockery and two fenced grassed areas for relaxation on the lovely outdoor garden furniture. This is a perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking views, to watch the many visiting birds and to hear the occasional high pitched calls of the many peacocks who reside in the Gorge. There is also a Weber for BBQ meals and outdoor furniture for dining.

The house is very central and within easy walking distance from most services and only 2.3 kms to the city centre. Public transport is 300 metres from the home on the West Launceston Metro routes 60, 66, 70 and the nearest supermarket is 500 metres. Launceston airport is a 15 minute drive. The house is literally next door to the world famous Cataract Gorge, a unique natural cliffgrounds and reserve and the region's premier tourism destination.

Tasmania is a complete destination, with an international clean green image, pure air, and delicious produce. The island state off the south coast of Australia is a treasure trove of stunning landscapes from the alpine ranges to the coastal playgrounds. About 40% of Tasmania is protected in national parks and reserves. The island is compact with a low population and there is so much to do and see within easy access to Launceston. Our quality food and wine, especially pinot noir, attracts foodies from around the world.

Tasmania is a mecca for many fantastic outdoor "bucket list" experiences such as our world famous walks like the Overland Track, Wineglass Bay, the South Coast Track and the Three Capes Track. Launceston is 2 hours by car to the Bay of Fires Conservation Area and 2.5 hours to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania's World Heritage Wilderness Area.

In the North East of the state in Derby, approximately 1.25 hours by car, there is an international 80 km mountain bike trail network. Only one hour by car in Bridport there are two of the top 100 golf courses in the world; Barnbougle and Lost Farm. We are also home to amazing arts and cultural experiences inspired by Tasmania's natural environment and just a 2 hour drive to MONA, The Museum of Old and New Art.
