DESCRIPTION: Newly remodeled 2 story home with gourmet kitchen, dining room,2 living areas and secluded media room upstairs. One bedroom has king bed and private full bath, one bedroom has queen bed with private full bath, 3rd bedroom has bunk beds with full bath across the hall. Small library at front of house has full size sleeper sofa, media room upstairs has queen sleeper sofa. Additional queen or two twin air mattresses can be used in upstairs office to accomodate additional guests. We have a two car garage, one side available for parking. We have a covered front porch with rocking chairs and table to sit outside during nice weather. We also have a dining table on our covered back porch with ceiling fan, just off the kitchen for dining al fresco. We have two children, currently ages 8 and 9 (as of May 2013). Our home is great for families, and can accomodate at least 3 children, perhaps more if two share a queen bed, or air mattresses are used. We are also great for corporate groups and coulples, as we can accomodate people with 5 private sleeping areas if using the two sleeper sofas. We love to travel, and take at least 4 weeks of vacation each year. METROPOLITAN AREA: Hancock/Hyde Park neighborhood We are conveniently located in central Austin, just outside Hyde Park, and just 1/2 block east of Hancock Golf Course on Red River Street. We are close to I-35, and the drive downtown takes just 6-8 minutes. There is a bus station at the corner of our street that can take you downtown for just about $1 each way. We have a HUGE HEB grocery store, bank, large liquor store, and several restaurants such as Freebirds Burritos and Jason's Deli that are just a 3 minute walk away. Hyde Park restaurants like Mother's Cafe, Hyde Park Grill, Julios, Asti and Dolce Vita are just a 15 minute walk way, or a short 2 minute drive. There is a free community pool just a 5 minute drive away in Hyde Park open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Colorado Springs,CO; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bali, Indonesia; Siem Reap, Cambodia; Medellin, Colombia; Auckland, New Zealand; Hanoi, Viet Nam; and open to many others! HOME EXCHANGE AVAILABILITY: August 3-18 2013; October 12-20 2013; November 14-18 (Formula 1 race); December 25-Jan 3,2014; March 15-23 2014. RENTAL AVAILABILITY: same dates as listed above RENTAL RATE: $500/night in August, October and December. $1200/night in November and March.
