DESCRIPTION: La Ruina,our Casa, offers a beautifully furnished living room with two fireplaces, comfortable seating, a flat screen t.v. and carefully selected art; a well equipped Mexican tile kitchen; a dining room which seats 8 comfortably and opens onto a plant filled patio and two master bedrooms, each with in suite Mexican tile bath t.v. queen size brass bed and sitting area and fireplace. In additiona there is a smaller bedroom(9X15) with single bed, full Mexican tile bath and a view of the entry fountain. A daily maid cares for the house, robes and hairdryer are supplied. WE ARE IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LOCATION- 44 Terraplen between Aldama and Jesus- the center of the Historic Central District, a very short and level walk to the Jardin, cafes, galleries, shops, language and art schools. Ours is a lovely quiet well lit residential street.
Although the house and patio is all on one level, there is also another patio upstairs, and a palapa(covered patio)above it.
We,Marty(a retired teacher) and Lorraine(a former jewelry designer) are both artist and passionate about art. METROPOLITAN AREA: Historic Central District
In addition to the Jardin(where folks meet to catch up on the news) one can walk from our home two blocks in the opposite direction to Juarez Park, a lovely space cared for by the garden club. It offers a basketball court, playground, a bandstand for weekend music. It is also a great place for a morning walk or run. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Italy, France, Spain, England and Eastern European countries such as Prague, Budapesh, etc. Would consider a swap for a Mexican beach area for a week. HOME EXCHANGE AVAILABILITY: Most of the year when not rented. Simultanious swap not necessary. RENTAL AVAILABILITY: Most of the year.
