Private entrances. Access to washer/dryer. Free, full cable TV. Free WiFi. Apartment faces large wooded backyard. 10 minute walk to beautiful Lake Merritt in Oakland. Less than 5 minute walk to bus that takes you to downtown San Francisco in 30 minutes, or bus that takes you to downtown Oakland in 15 minutes where you can catch BART (subway) to many destinations around entire Bay Area, including SF airport (saves about $50 in cab fares and takes 45 minutes). One minute walk to bus that takes you to Jack London Square in 20 minutes where you can catch either a ferry to SF or Amtrak, a train that takes you to destinations across the US, including many in CA. We live in a house just above the apartment. The apartment has a queen-size bed in the bedroom, and the livingroom has a sofabed that unfolds, perfect for a single adult or child. You have access to patio with tiled bench in the front of house. We have lived in our home for over 20 years, and take pride in our house and apartment. We enjoy introducing people, from all over the world, to the SF Bay Area, and, we know it well. METROPOLITAN AREA: San Francisco-Bay Area
Many nice restaurants, clubs, and shopping within a 10 minute walk. Wonderful museum - Oakland Museum of California, and, tennis – beautiful Davies Tennis Stadium, nearby. We are about one mile from Children's Fairyland, a wonderfully low-tech theme park, that inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland. Great for young kids. Over a hundred miles of trails amongst the redwoods, starting within two miles of us, for hiking or using our bikes.
