Visitors have access to the enclosed community pool, hot tub, library and gym.

Rick, my husband, has a home-based desktop publishing business and I am a business consult who works with local entrepreneurs and business owners. We do not smoke and have no pets.

Rick is a guitar player who continues to perform with the Gumbo Band, with which he has played for 25 years, and that plays at Mardigras balls and festivals, private parties and other local festivals. He is also involved in a rock and roll band here on the Mendocino Coast.

As an avid hiker I formed a hiking group, the Mendocino Coast Landlopers, that meets weekly and hikes the parks and forests in this area every Wednesday. We go on 4 to 6 mile hikes that last 2 to 3 hours. We are volunteers with the Mendocino Music Festival and host musicians at our home who come up to perform in the festival.

We have one grown son who lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area, a 3-hour drive south of Little River. He is the drummer in a band called Disgust of Us that plays all over the Bay Area.

Little River is located in the heart of the Mendocino Coast of California. The area is know for its giant redwood trees, hiking, fishing and other outdoor sports. Bicyclists come from all over to ride up and down beautiful Highway 1 in all kinds of weather. Festivals and events take place year round including the Pinot Noir Festival in May, the Mendocino Music Festival in July, the Mendocino Film Festival in June, Wine and Mushroom Festival in November and the Crab Festival in January and February. Whale watching from the bluffs of Little River or Caspar occurs during the winter and spring each year. It is only a short 3 hour drive from Little River to San Francisco or drive up Highway 1 to the famous redwood forests in Humboldt County.
