DESCRIPTION: Our family's mountain home is located in the quietest and oldest part of Canmore, within walking distance to downtown, the river, a playground and school. Our home features an open-design concept on 3 levels, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all with shower and one with a jacuzzi tub as well. 2 gas fireplaces add to the mountain ambience. Outside we have a beautiful rundle rock patio next to a creek, a large wrap-around covered deck, outdoor fireplace and barbeque. We have a very large Master bedroom with ensuite, jacuzzi tub and a Queen sized bed. A solarium provides gorgeous mountain views in 3 directions. 2 smaller bedrooms also have amazing mountain views -one room has a double bed and one has 2 twin beds. All have down duvets. The main floor features a large open dining area/kitchen/island/sitting area with fire-place. At ground level we have a family room and office space with high-speed internet, a computer for your use, television, DVD and video machine. Our kids enjoy floating down the backyard creek in the summer and biking at the nearby bike park. Our family of four has been involved in the tourism industry since moving to Canmore in 1990. We operate an outdoor adventure company and can offer you backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, snowshoes and travel advice for your outdoor adventures during your stay. Bud is a retired teacher and hiking guide/naturalist and Genia is a teacher in Banff. We have owned and operated our own B&B and our 2 children have grown up surrounded by the hospitality industry and world travellers. We are looking forward to travels of our own! METROPOLITAN AREA: Calgary Canmore is within an hours drive from Calgary and a short 20 minute commute to Banff. Ski hills, biking and hiking trails are a short drive away and Canmore is home of the Olympic Nordic Ski Centre. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Asia, Europe
