DESCRIPTION: Our home is located in the town of Banff and is a five minute walk from the main centre. It is a two level, two bedroom, two bathroom townhouse. There is another room, which we use as a den, that has a convertible couch which could sleep another two people. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and an ensuite with shower. The second bedroom has a double bed. The second bathroom has a very comfortable tub and a shower as well. Our home is furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and a few antiques for warmth. It is our primary residence, therefore is equipped with all of the conveniences for modern living. The kitchen has a new gas range, refrigerator and dishwasher. It is fully equipped for cooking, which is one of our hobbies. There is a small back garden off the kitchen and it has a gas barbeque which we use year round. We have high speed internet connection, a television with cable and DVD/Video capabilities, a stereo with a five CD changer, a small home gym with a small TV, an exercise bike, free weights and an exercise ball. There are lovely mountain and forest views the windows and beautiful hiking trails which literally take off from our door. There is an attached single garage and a car (2005 Volvo wagon) could be made available for you as well as two "antique" mountain bikes. Our home is comfortable and convenenient and provides an wonderful, quiet place to rest after a day of discovery in Banff National Park. Our home is in a housing development called Valley View. It is on the lower slopes of Sulphur Mountain. The famous Sulphur Mountain Hot Pool is a one minute drive up the hill. Ours is the quietest and most peaceful neighbourhood in Banff, with remarkable mountain views and friendly, helpful neighbours and friends. We have shelves full of hiking and skiing guides as well as maps of the area. Merrill is still working, part time, as a realtor in the Bow Valley. He is an active, fit and positive 70 year old with an enduring passion for golf, good food, good wine, love and laughter. Mary is (finally) a retired teacher. She loves to hike, explore, swim and learn about where she is. At 59, she is an incurable romantic and an enthusiastic traveller. We have exchanged in Scotland twice as well as several places in Mexico and the US. We look forward to more opportunties.
