DESCRIPTION: Our two story four square, built in 1905, has been completely remodeled. On the first floor a central entry way opens to a living room with floor to ceiling book cases and a formal dining room. A remodeled kitchen with stainless steel counters, a small office/computer room and a powder room are also on the first floor. There are three bedrooms and a new bathroom complex which includes two powder rooms (one adjoining the master bedroom)and a tub/shower area (large claw foot tub for soaking)on the second floor. Laundry, tv and a third powder room are in the completely remodeled basement. We live on a quiet residential street with very friendly neighbors who will welcome you and be happy to help out with questions you may have. There is a mixture of young families with children and retired people. Queen Anne is often thought of as like a small town in the middle of a big city. We are a retired couple, Diane was a school teacher and Richard worked as an executive in the tranportation sector. These days Diane has a small home buisness making jewelry and using Kimono fabric to design scarves and other accessories, and Richard pursues an interest in French history. METROPOLITAN AREA: Puget Sound The property is located on the top of Queen Anne Hill a few blocks from the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Downtown and the University of Washington are ten minutes away by car. Queen Anne is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Seattle, with wonderful views of Puget Sound and both the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. On Queen Anne Avenue (two short blocks from our home) there are numerous restaurants, coffee shops and one of the best grocery stores in the city.
