DESCRIPTION: House is located high above the capital, Roseau, and overlooks a rain forest, the capital and the Caribbean Sea. The second floor (which is main living area) has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also a TV room/den on that floor, as well as a loft teenagers (and others) would enjoy. Guest room and a sitting area (sitting area has a double sofa bed), each with its own bath, are under the swimming pool and carport. Because of the height of the living area, house may not be suitable for small children, but older children would enjoy roaming the grounds (1 ½ acres) on which there is a variety of tropical plants and trees. House comes with part-time maid and gardener service, high-speed internet, and broadband telephone service with unlimited calls to the US and Canada. NON-SMOKERS ONLY. Use of Laptop available as well. We are a retired couple and have lived and worked in a number of countries in Africa (both East and West), as well as the Caribbean. We presently make our home in Dominica. We have traveled extensively. METROPOLITAN AREA:
Dominica (not to be confused with the Dominican Republic) is called “The Nature Island of the Caribbean.” The whole island is a magnificent rain forest with rivers, mineral springs, dramatic waterfalls and exotic flora.
