DESCRIPTION: Apt is on 4th floor(with lift) with expansive views of Westerkerk Church, and Keizersgracht Canal in front. Garden views in rear bedroom. Apt is very bright, has open kitchen, new appliances, wood floors thru out, and complete bathroom with separate toilet. There are 2 flat screen TV's, wi-fi DVD player, printer/copier, and broadband internet service. Also has washing machine, and desktop computer. Central heating. Located in the historic district of Amsterdam, a block from the Anne Frank House. Street has 3 tram lines, a supermarket and many restaurants and cafes. The apartment is between two canals with a view of the Keizersgracht Canal. We are a couple who live in NY and have been going to Amsterdam for many years. We decided to buy an apt in 2006, and now live in both places. METROPOLITAN AREA: Amsterdam-Jordaan Area A short tram ride or nice walk to just about all museums. The Jordaan area is known for its interesting shops, cafes and unusual boutiques. A ten minute tram ride to Central station, so traveling is very easy and so is getting to Schlipol Airport. PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: We would also be interested in exchanging apts in mid or late August when we are in Amsterdam. We would like to exchange for a place in Paris or London for 4 or 5 days.
