DESCRIPTION: We have a modern, 5 bedroom farmhouse 5 minutes from Winton, in Southland. The house is slightly elevated, with spectacular views, and lovely gardens. We have a tennis court, plenty of area to play, childrens play area. Our house is on 35 hectares. We farm 400 sheep, and employ a manager who lives 2km away on our other farm. He will look after the animals and be available if you need him. But you have the run of our beautiful farm! We have plenty of sports equipment; 2 cars available; a piano; plenty of books; TV/Satellite; wireless internet. We are a professional couple, aged 40s. I am a veterinarian; and my wife a consultant psychiatrist. We have 3 lovely kids- aged 4,6 and 8. We enjoy all sports and being outdoors, including skiing, walking, biking. We have travelled all over the world with and without the children, and always try to find a house to base ourselves in wherever we go, to get to know the area and people better. We have 4 months off in 2011 and are keen to exchange with like minded people. METROPOLITAN AREA: Southland New Zealand is a wonderful country to visit, and Southland is a great base to explore it from. We are only 30 mins to the beach; and an hour to Queenstown and the mountains; and also near to the famous scenic sites of Milford Sound, Wanaka PREFERRED DESTINATIONS: Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria HOME EXCHANGE AVAILABILITY: Mid March 2011 to Mid July 2011 RENTAL AVAILABILITY: mid march 2011- mid june 2011 RENTAL RATE: 800 Euro per week; 3000 Euro per month
